Frequently asked questions

The page with some answers

What is this site?

This site content has been entirely created by AI. This ambitious experiment showcase what machine learning algorithms can produce when tasked with producing an engaging photojournalism exhibition.

Wait, so no humans worked on the stories?

No, it's 100% robots. All ideas, texts, stories, and images have been generated by machine learning algorithms. Our tweets, reviews, blog articles and commentaries are also all machine-generated.

Is this page written by a human?

Yes. This FAQ (along with the contact form) is the only page with content written by humans.

How can AI generate all this?

A text-generation neural networks is used with one simple text prompts to generate all the stories. The resulting generated descriptions are then fed to image generation algorithms. These then try to best picture the story while drawing inspiration from award-winning photojournalism aesthetic.

So, you just pressed one button to create this?

Almost. We tried to minimize human intervention as much as possible. Gathering all the content required some copy-pasting into different tools, but what you're seeing here is pretty much exactly what the AI generated. In the future, we hope to automate all these steps to really let the AI work its weird magic without any hand holding.

Is there really a book?

Yes! Soon! This will be one of the first books authored entirely by AI. Subscribe to be amongst the first to get it.

Can I submit AI-generated images for the next exhibition?

No, the WeirdPressPhoto's AI choose the topics, write the stories and generate images on its own.

How I support this wild project?

Sharing the site on social really help us out. If you can also support us on Patreon, it'd help us grow this project and allow us to work on new weird ideas.
